OUR MISSION

Our mission is to foster a community of empowered men, veterans, and first responders who positively impact their families, workplaces, and society as a whole.

Our vision is to put an end to the stigma currently attached to mental fitness (formerly known as mental health), to reduce the rate of male suicide, and to teach men how to feed their good wolf.

THE CHEROKEE LEGEND

The Cherokee legend of the two wolves is a powerful metaphor for the inner battle every man faces between positive and negative emotions. The story teaches that the wolf we choose to feed—whether it be anger, greed, and resentment, or love, compassion, and humility—ultimately shapes our character and destiny.

This lesson is crucial in building better men, as it emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, emotional control, and conscious decision-making. By embracing the positive wolf, men can cultivate resilience, empathy, and a sense of purpose, leading to more fulfilled lives and stronger communities.

We are a Non-profit (501(C)(3) based in New York, who are fighting against the stigma attached to mental fitness (formerly known as mental health) and working to reduce the current male suicide rates. We are focused on creating a safe space for all men to be able to reconnect with their true essence, rediscover their strength, purpose, and brotherhood through online community support as well as in-person events throughout the United States of America.

Currently, men are 4x more likely to die from suicide than women and account for nearly 80% of all suicides between the years 2000 and 2022. In a report published in 2020 by the US Department of Veterans Affairs, findings showed that over 6000 Veterans sadly took their own lives. As an organisation, we aim to change this through our work so that all men know that suicide is never an option and that WE'VE GOT THEIR BACKS!

However, none of this would be possible without your support, so please click the 'DONATE' button and help to fund a place on our next retreat for a veteran or first responder, as well as helping to fund all of our transformative work around the country.

At MENtality Matters, our aim is to build better men by guiding them through 'The 4 Realms of Service: Personal, Relational, Professional, and Spiritual'. We believe that true growth and fulfilment come from a balanced development in these key areas. Through free online coaching sessions, in-person team building events, and transformative retreats, we provide men with the tools and support they need to thrive in every aspect of their lives. Our mission is to foster a community of empowered men who positively impact their families, workplaces, and society as a whole.
